with Xochi Bucuru

5 Week Live Online Course

“Spiritual Medicine is an essential element for your complete health and well-being”

Xochi Bucuru Botache is a Colombian traditional healer, educator in the areas of health and human development, and promoter of Indigenous community projects.

Her learning about healing processes with ancestral medicines, particularly Yagé or Ayahuasca, began at the age of 14. From that moment, she has dedicated her life to the study, conservation, and service of ancestral and Indigenous knowledge.

Since 2009, she has been working as a traditional healer, and she received legal recognition by the Colombian Ministry of Culture in 2020 as a traditional doctor/medicine woman. This has given her the authority to provide care and support with natural treatments, and deliver training and immersive experiences in healing and education.

In 2021, she started collaborating with Modern Spirit and Dr. Joe Tafur, hosting and leading specialized online workshops and experiential retreats in Colombia for healthcare professionals as part of our Sacred Ceremony in Psychedelic Therapy Program.

Xochi has also studied Art, Management and Political Culture and has developed a number of related culturally focused projects. For several years, she co-directed the nonprofit organization Cultural Tras La Huella and is now directing the nonprofit organization Kumay, continuing to promote and protect ancestral knowledge. She was co-producer and scriptwriter of the documentary Kumanday: The Way of the People and co-creator of the photo book Uchuamy.

In May 2024, she was officially recognized by the Indigenous Authorities of Colombia as a medicine carrier of the yagé altar and of feminine wisdom.

About the course

This experiential 5–week online course is designed for those seeking to understand spiritual medicine as a fundamental pillar of Integrative Health. Xochi’s teachings are rooted in the ancestral wisdom of Indigenous communities.

Designed as a progressive personal process, this journey allows you to cultivate autonomy over your own spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being. It is an opportunity to learn how to serve oneself and cultivate personal care, before serving others.

In a modern world often disconnected from the roots of wellness, this course offers a bridge and a reminder to look within. Through profound teachings, experiential practices, and healing tools, you will learn about connecting with nature and your inner healer to integrate the spiritual dimension into your daily life.
